Humility in the Age of Arrogance

What makes a person respected?
Not respectable, but respected. Hiding all your basic instincts will get you respectability.
Im sure you can give me hundreds of reasons why a person is respected FOR A CERTAIN QUALITY.
I intend to focus on one such quality - Humility.

Can a person be respected only for humility? How often and how easy it is to take advantage of humility. We can respect that in someone who we cannot touch. But how often can we resist taking advantage of a person who gives us respect which we know, in our heart of hearts, we don't deserve.

How prudent is it to not assert oneself and retaliate out of frustration? I wonder. Is it truly easier to steel your heart against constant blows. All the while hoping that acceptance will follow. To be punched in the face when your expecting a hug is not easy. Every time. Is it not better not strike back once just to give a taste of what to expect when pushed to the limit.

There's no fun in hoping that one day that person or the world will realize what a great soul you are. They may be dead by then and your ego evolved to a place where it does not matter.

She casts a furtive glance of approval at her, hoping she's said the right thing, and winning her approval with her words. I found it strange; why would someone obsess about approval when they've said kind words. Then I understood, she had never practised it before.
There is something so fulfilling in discovering something new, seeing flowers bloom on a tree on a bright summer day, smiling at a complete stranger and having that smile returned. Its brings joy to the soul and a temporary sense of being at peace with the world.

Then someone cuts you off on the road. And real life of illusion begins...

Water

Water is so soothing.
Ponds, lakes, rivers, oceans, seas, beaches.
All of them makes me feel so alive.
And philosophical.
Makes me the observer, not the doer.

Day dreaming and Capricorns

Like a lot of women, I'm obsessed with zodiac signs. And naturally with mine.

Now, I've put day dreaming as an occupation of mine in my blogger profile. And curiously pressed on day-dreaming which seemed to be a click-able option. I had a chance to go through quite a few interesting profiles which had day-dreaming either as an activity or occupation. I was rather amused to see that not many were Capricorns actively involved in day dreaming or admitting it on a blog site like this.

I've gone through endless posts and websites about zodiac signs and astrology and ALL of them quote Capricorns as doers and not dreamers. But that's not always true in cases of real people. We are quite diverse in our interests and thinking do not always conform to what's actually written about our zodiacs.

But this little search of mine did get me thinking. Is it true that Capricorns do not day dream as a major part of their thinking, or it's just that I did not find the Cappy's who had not updated/revealed their zodiacs or I'm drawing an erroneous conclusion.

Amazing!!

Just purge of writing and all the pent up emotions are gone!
Ain't is awesome!!
